River Rocks

Stones are slowly liberated from bedrock under the slow assault of gravity and water. Once free, they may spend days or aeons on a slope, weathering more. Most eventually end up in a stream or river where they are shaped and textured in every flood.  I love to find these river rocks to carve and polish, always keeping some of the natural character that reminds me of each stone's journey.
