Lithofishy
Columbia River Basalt from Wasco County. I found this piece with this intriguing shape and delightful patterns of iron oxide and clay painted on the joint surfaces by 10,000 years of groundwater oozing through the cracks. Besides the (admittedly subtle) resemblance to a fish, the name is a play on the geologic term lithofacies.
