Wildcat Flame
Rhyolite on a base of diorite countertop scrap, pivot mount. Rhyolite collected near Prineville, Oregon, part of the 40 million-year-old Wildcat Mountain Supervolcano. Pivot mount. This is one of many "Flame" series pieces I have made from various rocks, apparently a shape I am attracted to when I am collecting.
