Steinpilz

Cap is welded tuff from Harney County, stem is Columbia River Basalt from Umatilla County, and the base is recycled pool table slate.  This is an ode to Boletus Edulis, my favorite edible mushroom, known as King Bolete (English) , Cep  (French) or Porcini. (Itaian). In German it is Steinpilz (stone mushroom).
