Megalodont

Columbia River basalt on a base of scrap steel. Collected near Biggs Junction, Oregon. The basalt comes from the base of a 300-foot-thick flow, and is unusually dense and black. This piece came to me already shaped like a shark tooth and combines smoothed and polished faces with brushed surfaces.
